April is the month for Reggae in Barbados, the first event kicks off at the Kensington Oval on Easter Sunday.
Easter Reggae Explosion
Sunday April 12th, 2009
The Bob Marley tribute show starts at 12pm at the Kensington Oval. Artists include Ky-Mani Marley, Third World, Anthony B, Luciano, Coco Tea, Half Pint, Etana, Frankie Paul, Biggie Irie, Ayana John & more. Top DJ's will play through the day and night. An after party is to be held at The Boatyard.

The Digicel Barbados Reggae Festival
April 19th to April 26th 2009
The Digicel Barbados Reggae Festival is staging three events with great artists at fantastic venues.

Reggae Beach Party
Sunday April 19th, 2009
The Reggae Beach Party is to be held at the Carlisle Bay Centre, Bay Street from 3pm to 10pm. Artists include Aidonia, Busy Signal, Mad Dog, Peter Ram, Kirk Brown, Omar & Most Wanted and Verseewild. Top DJ's from around the Caribbean will also play throughout the party.

Vintage Reggae Show & Dance
Friday April 24th, 2009
The Vintage Reggae Show & Dance is to be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre from 9pm. Artists include Freddy Mcgregor, Gregory Isaacs, Boris Gardner, Fab 5 and Biggie Irie. DJ's include Black Cat, Admiral, Lil Rick and Alvin Toppin.

Reggae on the Hill
Sunday April 26th, 2009
Reggae on the Hill is the grand finale of the festival held at Farley Hill National Park from 11am to 8pm. Artists include Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Queen Ifrica, Morgan Heritage, Live Wyya, Konshens, Positive, Duane Stephenson, Zion Trybe, KDB, Buggy, Red Star Lion, Ayanna John, LRG, Ras Ali, Hotta Flames and Foresight.

Tickets for the Digicel Barbados Reggae Festival can be purchased from the Official Box Offices listed at the Barbados Reggae Festival Website. Tickets for the Easter Reggae Explosion can be purchased at Shell Service Stations, Mix 96, Up Beat and The Boatyard.
