Crop Over Carnival Commences
One of the most exciting and colorful carnival’s of the Caribbean is held in Barbados every year to celebrate the sugar cane harvest. The festival runs for 5 weeks and attracts thousands of people from across the world. The carnival hosts the top names in Calypso music. A series of concerts, street parades local fairs keep the island buzzing. The climax of the event is Kadooment day held the first Monday in August, with one of the most spectacular street parades you will ever see.
