Sir Garry Sobers Schools Cricket Tournament

Named after the renowned Barbadian cricketer and national hero Sir Garry Sobers, this annual tournament held in Barbados will be in its twentieth season. It attracts school teams under nineteen years of age to compete with their local, regional and international counterparts.



July 1st to August 1st 2012

Crop Over Carnival Commences

One of the most exciting and colorful carnivalís of the Caribbean is held in Barbados every year to celebrate the sugar cane harvest. The festival runs for 5 weeks and attracts thousands of people from across the world. The carnival hosts the top names in Calypso music. A series of concerts, street parades local fairs keep the island buzzing. The climax of the event is Kadooment day held the first Monday in August, with one of the most spectacular street parades you will ever see.
